Chief Executive, Flonex Limited

Okey is an embodiment of dynamic entrepreneurship with 30 years outstanding career and vast experience, spanning across sectors of Banking, Construction and Oil & Gas services. He earned a first degree in Economics and an MBA in Banking & Finance in 1986 and 1990 respectively from the then Imo State University, Okigwe. Okey is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business School following the completion of the Chief Executive Program (CEP 24) in 2015.

He is the founder and Managing Director and Chief Executive of Flonex Limited, an engineering services company with its headquarter in Portharcourt, specializing in Oil & Gas projects and services for 15 years. He is also the Managing Director of Klear Image Limited, a construction company specialising in public sector infrastructural development.

Okey made a start at his professional career as a Research Assistant at the Nigerian Institute for Social and Economic Research (NISER). Following this, he acquired 15 years of extensive knowledge and expertise in the Banking sector with over 8 years in senior management roles across several banks such as Diamond Bank Plc, with specialty in Consumer and Commercial banking, GT bank Plc within the Multinational Beverages Unit and UBA Plc, where he served as the Principal Manager, Commercial & Energy Desk and finally as the Group Head South-East Region after which he launched out in fulfillment of his endearing passion for entrepreneurship with Flonex Limited.

Under his steer, Flonex Limited retains its presence as a dedicated and innovative member of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) and Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA). In April 2016, Okey was appointed Chairman of the PETAN – NLNG (Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited) Collaboration Committee.

Having attended several executive courses and conferences across continents with renowned organizations such as Euromoney, Strategic Decisions Group, Offshore Technology Conference and Centre for global Studies amongst others, Okey devotes his expertise and vast experience as an independent consultant on economic and financial matters based on deep insight on proven world-class business best practices.

He is also a valuable resource person in areas of counseling and mentoring with involvement in community development initiatives such as Thrift financing for rural women and youth educational development initiatives. In service to God, he was once the Vice President of the Excellent Men’s Ministry of his local church, RCCG Jesus House Parish, Port Harcourt. He is an ordained deacon of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Okey is married to Chisom and they are blessed with four children.
